BILLY IDOL / CAMP FREDDY guitarist Billy Morrison has checked in with the following "first quarter" update:

"The first quarter report of 2011 is a good one, I'm happy to say. The release of my Gibson Signature Les Paul, some great live shows, an appearance on one of my favorite television shows (Californication), the release of some new music (the 'Be Yourself' EP - get onto I-Tunes and check it out), a mind-bendingly good art show, an evening at the Playboy Mansion, some inspiring and exciting writing sessions in the studio, and a ton of great meals, good company and time spent with my wife. There's pretty much nothing else I could ask for, quite honestly. For a guy like me, this is all gravy - happy to be working, having fun and enjoying the people in my life.

Plans for the summer are in full effect (hopefully I can reveal some of that really soon) and I'm really looking forward to my fall schedule (that news will be posted very soon - all locked in and waiting for the proverbial green light!) along with some killer Camp Freddy shows then that are already on the books. And I'm sure winter (if you can call it that in Los Angeles) will be as fun as always - the Camp Freddy Xmas Residency will, I'm sure, be in full effect again this year.

Toss into that some new moves for me in some parallel areas of the entertainment world (what entertainment??? It's all fucking meetings and phone calls!!) and I'm sitting exactly where I like to sit - looking out at a busy, varied and exciting year. But of course, you know the old saying.....

'If you wanna make God laugh, tell Him your plans!!!' - for today, I'm happy to say its been a good first few months of 2011. Have a great weekend, do something nice for someone else (and don' tell them it was you) - and I'll be back soon."

As previously reported, SEBASTIAN BACH, MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister and Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE) were among the guests that joined Camp Freddy on Monday, January 24th at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA for a benefit event to create awareness and raise positive vibes in celebration of breast cancer survivor Carolyne Williams.

Footage from the show can be seen below:
