TheRightToRock.com has issued their latest podcast (episode #120), featuring HELSTAR vocalist James Rivera, who took time out of his busy schedule to discuss the band's latest release, Glory of Chaos, as well Helstar's upcoming tour plans. Rivera also discusses some other projects he is working on, including his newest gig fronting MALICE. The interview lasts approximately 40 minutes.

We all know the the Grammys are a joke as well as the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. Who decides who should get an award and does metal have a place in the award community (hell, yes!)? Over the past couple of years metal rags like Hammer and Revolver have started their respective tributes (e.g. Golden Gods) - and it's about time. Join Genghis and Ragman as they disect this year's nominations as well as giving their own. Next, the boys round up local favorite James Rivera from Helstar for a one on one as he discusses their recent reunion and their latest offering, Glory of Chaos.

On the heels of their new AFM record, Glory Of Chaos, '80s Texas metallers HELSTAR have announced more dates on their Summer Of Hate US tour.

Helstar headlining dates in the US now include:

June

17 - The Rail Club - Fort Worth, TX
18 - Dirty Dog Bar - Austin, TX
22 - Manhattan Room - Philadelphia, PA
23 - Sonar - Baltimore, MD
24 - Saint Vitus Bar - Brooklyn, NY
25 - The Blue Room - Secaucus, NJ

Rivera posted the following update online back in April:

"The remainder of this year is metal at full throttle for me. Many big things are about to unravel starting with Germany's Keep It True festival next weekend, which will include my debut performance with the band Malice, plus a special guest appearance with MASTERS OF METAL (featuring members of AGENT STEEL). In June, Helstar will be coming to Austin and Dallas, Texas, as well as several east coast metal markets to continue its onslaught of Chaos! More live appearances are being scheduled for Helstar in late summer to include European festival performances and club shows. Also in June, the new SEVEN WITCHES record Call Upon The Wicked will be released on the 6th via E One Entertainment, in addition to a music video for a song from that album Fields On Fire. Touring for Seven Witches will soon follow - dates to be announced! Killing Machine is also slated for a record release and concerts in the fall!

Love you all and I hope we can all continue to be blessed daily. These days we need all the blessings we can get.”
