hot flashes news megadeth

According to a Twitter update from MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine, the group's recording sessions for their new album was "halted" yesterday, when producer Johnny K (real name Johnny Karkazis) was "suddenly struck ill."

Megadeth are currently recording their 13th album with Johnny K, who has worked with the likes of DISTURBED, 3 DOORS DOWN and FINGER ELEVEN. Writing/arranging, drum tracking, guitars and solos commenced this month at the band's own Vic's Garage in San Marcos, CA with most of the process expected to be completed before Megadeth tours this summer as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival with Disturbed and GODSMACK. The album is expected to surface in the fall via Roadrunner Records.

Drummer Shawn Drover checked in from the studio recently:

"I figured it was due time to give you all a quick update. I have completed five drum tracks, with song #6 and #7 in line to be done today and I am really happy with the way things are going thus far. Johnny K has been a blast to work with as he shares the same vision as we do, which is to make a solid, heavy record. We are definitely on the right path here...

We have one song completely done and submitted for a video game - without going into the details of it, anybody who knows me and what I like musically, this tune put a big smile on my face. In time, you will all hear what I am talking about, but for now, it's back to work at Vic's Garage."

Drover will be dropping by the Cyber Army chat room for an exclusive live chat with fan club members on Sunday, May 29 at 3 p.m. PDT (22:00 GMT). A door prize will be given away at the chat. For more info on the Cyber Army and to enlist click here.
