GODFLESH Confirm First London Headline Show In 12 Years; GOATSNAKE, D.R.I. To Guest
June 7, 2011, 13 years ago
British industrial metal pioneers GODFLESH have confirmed a headlining show at the HMV Forum in London, UK, on June 16th.
Godflesh made their first UK appearance in over ten years at last year's Supersonic Festival in the band's hometown of Birmingham, where the group were one of the headlining acts. Now, Godflesh are returning to London for their first headlining appearance in the city since 1999, with GOATSNAKE and D.R.I. also appearing as special guests.
Godflesh founding member Justin Broadrick comments: "We are excited to be playing our first Godflesh London headline show since 1999! In fact, the last time Godflesh headlined London as originally intended - two men and machines - was around 1995. We hope our bleak sound and performance impacts like it did some years ago."
Tickets for the show are available now at this location.
Godflesh are also confirmed for Damnation Festival 2011.
Joining them at Leeds University Union on Bonfire Night, Saturday, November 5th will be post-rockers GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT, who top the third stage, and the atmospheric black metal of fellow Irishmen ALTAR OF PLAGUES.
The three bands expand on the already diverse bill for 2011's finest UK metal event, so far boasting ULVER, DECAPITATED, DOOM, AMPLIFIER, SHINING, DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT and ASTROHENGE, with mainstage headliners amongst the many more still to be announced.
Tickets are on sale now priced £29 and are available from See Tickets, Ticketline and Leeds Tickets.
