QUEEN's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and PINK FLOYD's 'Comfortably Numb' are among the songs making the cut for Mail Online's Desert Island Disc list.

More than 25,000 people took part in the project and the list is largely dominated by classical works, perhaps reflecting the tastes of Radio 4’s audience.

THE BEATLES were the most popular chosen artist among the thousands of votes but they failed to feature in the top eight tracks as listeners split their choices among the group's many classic songs.

Only two contemporary acts made it on to the list, Queen’s 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and Pink Floyd’s 'Comfortably Numb'. They were both somewhat of a surprise as it had been expected that either JOHN LENNON’s 'Imagine' or a Beatles song would be leading the charge for pop or rock music.
