SIXX: A.M. Scores First #1 With 'Lies Of The Beautiful People'

SIXX: A.M. have scored their first #1 hit at Active Rock with 'Lies Of The Beautiful People', the first single from their second album, This Is Gonna Hurt. 'Lies' has reached #1 after holding strong at the #2 spot for six weeks, according to Mediabase. The track is also steadily positioned at #3 at Mainstream Rock and is poised to keep climbing.
Frontman James Michael says, "A number one single is a great accomplishment for me, Dj and Nikki. Outside radio, using other media sources has helped us reach even more people and it's amazing that the fans have reacted so strongly to the song and its message. We are flattered and honored."
This Is Gonna Hurt, is the follow up to 2008's The Heroin Diaries, and gave the band their first Top 10 debut on The Billboard 200 chart. The 11-track CD is also the companion album to Nikki Sixx's New York Times bestselling book, This Is Gonna Hurt, which debuted at #4.
