Fredericksburg.com Weekender spoke with DEF LEPPARD in advance of the band's upcoming show at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia on July 9th. The following is an excerpt from the article, by Andrew Leahey:

Allen credits his bandmates for taking particular care of their voices, ensuring that one of the band's most identifiable traits - the thick, lush harmonies that saturate every chorus - remains intact.

"Joe [Elliot] amazes me every night," he said of the band's frontman, whose coarse croon still anchors Def Leppard's mix of guitar-driven rock and melodic, glammy pop.

"When we're onstage, all I see of him is his rear end. I know some people would really enjoy that view, but what I'm enjoying is his consistency. The guys are warming their voices up hours before the show. That's always been a big part of Def Leppard's sound, and we're proud that it still is."
