STEVE VAI and JOE SATRIANI Talk About Cliff Cultreri Benefit; Fan-Filmed Footage Available

Guitar legends STEVE VAI and JOE SATRIANI talked to Artisan News together about putting together the second benefit for industry veteran Cliff Cultreri, and Orianthi (MICHAEL JACKSON's lead guitarist for his ill-fated This Is It concert series) said she was glad to be there. Cultreri is the A&R; executive who discovered both Satriani and Vai.
Says Vai: "He was so different than any other record company personality that I ever met because he was excited about the guitar, about gear and the artist that he liked. He really championed my first little solo record (1984's Flex-Able)."
Satriani added: "Back then I also had my label and I had put a record together. It turned out to be Not Of This Earth and Cliff - crazy guitar player, total music head - he was my advocate."
