MEGADETH has set TH1RT3EN as the title of its new and 13th album, tentatively due November 1st via Roadrunner Records. Lick Library has posted a new interview with leader Dave Mustaine, conducted by Paul Marshall for Guitar Interactive Magazine and Marshall TV, backstage at Sonisphere Knebworth 2011.

Among other topics, Mustaine discusses the process of making the new album, stating: "This record actually, the process was a little different because we didn't get the chance, luxury, of taking our time. We'd come off the road and somebody said, 'you've got about a two month period, do you think you can make a record in there', and I laughed. I thought, you guys, you're trying to kill me is what's going on - there's no rest for the wicked. You can't put a horse away wet after you've run him in a race, you've gotta let him cool off. And it seemed like we just came off the last tour and just went right into the studio. But you know, I've always believed my playing ability has been a gift, so rather than sit back and doubt what God's given me, I just went in and I trusted the process. And we made a great record."

TH1RT3EN was recorded at the band's own recording facility - Vic's Garage studio - in San Marcos, California with producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, 3 DOORS DOWN, FINGER ELEVEN).

At a one-off gig from the European Big 4 shows, (July 4th) Megadeth debuted their new track, 'Public Enemy No.1', live in Hamburg, Germany at the Docks. Watch fan-filmed footage of the new track below:
