Currently crossing America on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival with DISTURBED, GODSMACK, MACHINE HEAD, IN FLAMES and TRIVIUM, MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson checks in from Heavy T.O. at Downsview Park in Toronto, ON below:

As previously reported, Ellefson spoke with MusicPix.net on July 20th in Cincinnati, OH. An excerpt from the interview is below:

Regarding what fans can expect from Megadeth's next album, Ellefson said: "It really is a different-sounding record. It's very heavy, it's got great hooks. I think Endgame became one of the most pivotal albums to re-establish the Megadeth sound in the modern day, but I think where TH1RT3EN goes, it also brings back some of the classic elements of Countdown To Extinction..."

Megadeth has set TH1RT3EN as the title of its new and 13th album, tentatively due this fall via Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at the band's own recording facility - Vic's Garage studio - in San Marcos, California with producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, 3 DOORS DOWN, FINGER ELEVEN).

At a one-off gig from the European Big 4 shows, (July 4th) Megadeth debuted their new track, 'Public Enemy No.1', live in Hamburg, Germany at the Docks. Watch fan-filmed footage of the new track below:
