Cleveland doom rockers VENOMIN JAMES will take part in a meet-and-greet on August 6th at the sold out Wacken Open Air festival, set to place August 4th - 6th in Wacken, Germany.

The signing session will take place August 6th from 7 to 7:45 PM, at the W:O:A Fanclub Stand on the festival grounds. The band is scheduled to perform live later that same evening in a prime time spot at 12:15 AM (Saturday night) on the W.E.T. Stage.

"Venomin James is my very first label band invited by the festival organizers to participate in a meet-and-greet session at Wacken", says Auburn Records president Bill Peters. "We are very excited about this news. We've had tremendous success with the band's recent 'Make No Mistake' video on the festival's WackenTube.com site. It's quickly become a big hit with over 60,000 views. Those are some incredible numbers! It is now officially one of the site's all-time most popular videos. We would like to thank the fans and everyone involved with Wacken for all of their support.

"The band guys are not really the crazed, serial killer looking types they may appear to be in their photos and videos so Wacken fans should have no fear in approaching them at the meet-and-greet. They may try to bite but they most definitely will not kill you!"

WackenTube recently premiering the 'Make No Mistake' video, taken from the band's latest Crowe Valley Blues album, released late last year via Auburn Records. The video was directed by Venomin James guitarist Joe Fortunato.

"With this video, we try to visualize the Venomin James sound, and the atmosphere that surrounds our home base in Kirtland, Ohio", says Fortunato.

"To do so, we researched the esoteric, occult history of Kirtland, and incorporated imagery to tie into some of the better known legends. Our goal was to give the viewer the same feeling of uneasiness that they would get from wandering around the landmarks and fringe areas. The video references several historical events, including the Lundgren/Avery Kultland Murders of 1989, the construction of the first Mormon temple in 1833, Dr. H. Crowe and his WWII eugenics research with the so-called Melonheads, and a number of child abductions and murders that occurred in the area. We pay tribute to several classic horror films with the look and visual style, and kept some imagery intentionally vague, for anyone that might want to dig further. If someone asked me to describe the vibe of this place, I could show them this video and only be part of the way there..."
