MODIFIED - New Promo Photo Released, New Song Available For Streaming

Toronto's MODIFIED have posted a new song, 'Running From Myself', on their official MySpace page for streaming. The song closed out their support show for DIE MANNEQUIN at the Wreck Room in Toronto on August 4th. Go to this location to check it out.

In an interview with BW&BK; scribe Carl Begai conducted late last year, vocalist Tricia Stanley commented on the ongoing comparisons between Modified and LACUNA COIL, in particular her vocal similarities to Cristina Scabbia:
“It doesn’t really bother me because if you’re going to be out there as a singer you’re going to get compared to someone else” says Tricia. “I’d much rather be compared to Lacuna Coil than EVANESCENCE, for example. I love Lacuna Coil and Cristina’s voice, and musically I like them a lot. People will hear Modified – or any band for that matter – and throw a band name out there as a comparison just because it’s popular at that moment. Does Modified sound like Lacuna Coil? Not really, but I can understand why people are making the comparison. Musically we’ve been compared SEVENDUST, DISTURBED and GARBAGE, all of which is pretty cool.
