METALLICA - Opening Band For India F1 Race Gig Shrouded In Mystery

According to The Times Of India, one of the biggest events scheduled for October 28th this year is shrouded in mystery. METALLICA will be in India for the first ever F1 race before their massive Sonisphere gig in Bangalore. And while fans have been pulling out all stops to secure tickets for the shows, they are also anxious to know which band will get to open the legendary act.
Event organisers have been in talks with several names, including several Bollywood production houses. And their first port of call was Ranbir Kapoor's Rockstar, which has music by A R Rahman.
On offer a 15-minute promotional slot for Ranbir to strum a guitar and toss his locks. While any music lover worth his shadow guitar would have loved to share the stage with Metallica, the producers of Rockstar reportedly turned down the offer.
