Metal Kaoz recently conducted an interview with ANVIL frontman Steve "Lips" Kudlow. Excerpts from the interview are below:

Metal Kaoz: Do you have in mind in releasing a live recorded DVD?

Lips: "No, not all because I don’t think there is a point in doing this. If you want to watch Anvil live, then go in YouTube where there are thousands of hours of live footage from all over the world. And the other aspect for this matter is that we don’t believe that we are a big band yet to do it properly."

Metal Kaoz: Why?

Lips: "Why? (laughs) It is just the way it is. Last I checked we were taking half a million dollars per show like AC/DC so I cannot see how we can do this right and in a high level. We won’t film just a club show... So, I think my answer to your question is that we will do that when the band is big enough and we are not there yet. But we are working towards it. I am not that full of myself so I cannot see the reality of the situation."

Metal Kaoz: After the string of the US live dates you have Sweden Rock Cruise, what is next for Anvil?

Lips: "I really don’t know. We are flying to where our manager tells us. And sometimes we are not allowed to discuss something that has not been announced yet. So, even if I knew something, I would not be in the position to tell you."

Metal Kaoz: Do you have in your mind when to even start thinking of the next Anvil album?

Lips: "No, since the new album has been released for some months, we are only thinking where it will take us to play live. So, there is nothing planned in the meantime.'
