BLAZE BAYLEY Talks About His Perfect Weekend
September 2, 2011, 13 years ago
Former IRON MAIDEN singer BLAZE BAYLEY (WOLFSBANE) spoke to the UK's Express & Star about his perfect weekend. Excerpts from the chat follow:
Express & Star: How would you prepare for a big night out?
Bayley: "For a big night out I’d probably have a shower and put some deodorant on and I might even go so far as to have a shave. If it’s my partner Eline I’m going out with I’ve definitely got to have a shave. If it’s just the lads then I don’t bother."
Express & Star: What’s your favourite party outfit?
Bayley: "It’s got to be the Fistful Of Dollars, Clint Eastwood style. I’ve got the hats. Years ago I was on tour in the USA and in Colorado City there was this fantastic cowboy clothes shop and I managed to find a hat that fits because I have a very large cranium . . . that’s a big head in Birmingham! I’ll stick the hat on just to walk around or walk the dog."
Express & Star: You’ve just arrived at the bar. What’s your first drink?
Bayley: "I’m filled with indecision on that first drink, because I know if I start on Guinness I’ll be going all night, I won’t be the worst for wear. But if I’ve had something to eat, Guinness might be a bit heavy so I might go for cider but that could affect me very, very quickly, so I may lack my sparkle towards late evening."
