EPICA - Drum Tracking For New Album Underway, New Photo Posted

Dutch symphonic rockers EPICA issued the following update on September 7th:
"As of today, Epica has started the recordings for their fifth full-length album. This still untitled album will expectedly be released by Nuclear Blast on March 9th, 2012. Epica entered the famous Gate-studio's in Germany once more to work with world renowned producer Sascha Paeth (KAMELOT, AVANTASIA, RHAPSODY OF FIRE). First up is Ariën Van Weesenbeek to record his drum parts (see photo below)."
The band checked back later in the day with the following:
"Arien has finished three songs already, will he have some energy left to make it to a fourth one tonight?"Word has it that he did indeed manage to get a fourth song in the can. Stay tuned for further updates.
As previously reported, Epica will celebrate the release of the upcoming album at 013 in Tilburg, Netherlands on March, 16th 2012. Check out two Epica pre-production videos below:
