QUEENSRŸCHE's Geoff Tate - "Chaos Is That Place Where Creativity Is Born, And We're Definitely A Band That Is Very Dedicated To Creativity"

PopStar.com has issued an interview with QUEENSRŸCHE vocalist Geoff Tate. An excerpt from the interview follows:
Q: Let's start with the new record, Dedicated To Chaos. Tell us first how you arrived at the title.
A: "It's a title that could mean a lot of different things I suppose. To me, chaos is that place where creativity is born, and we're definitely a band that is very dedicated to creativity - of pushing our creativity that we have together as far as we can take it. We've been kind of doing that through our whole career. done a lot of different things, a lot of different kinds of music, a lot of different kinds of tours and presentations, and so the title sort of aptly fits the mindset of the band. And also I think it pertains to the album itself. It's kind of a chaotic mixture of different kinds of music. It's not a concept record, which we wanted to take a break from. We wanted to stretch out musically and try some different things. We wanted to focus on the rhythm section of the band and let that carry the momentum of the songs, and use the guitars as a sort of accent paint brush so to speak. So we tried some different things on this record and some might view it as a chaotic mixture of music so we thought this kind of fits this title."
