Black Cobra's sophomore album for Southern Lord Recordings, the thunderous eight-song opus Invernal, was recorded in eight days this past July at Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou's God City Studio and mastered by John Golden. Inspired in part by the famed, dangerous treks of English researcher Ernest Shackleton, the theme to the entire record is based on a post-apocalyptic trek to a nuclear infested and mutated Antarctica.
Invernal is coiled to strike with its deadly punk-infused metallic sludge venom on October 11th in North America.
