Gilby Clarke (ex-GUNS N' ROSES) was the featured guest on the September 17th edition of SOULS ON 11/ex-MEGADETH guitarist Jeff Young’s Music Without Boundaries radio show. The duo, along with LA rock/soul singer Debby Holiday (ROD STEWART, JOHN WAITE) performed a live acoustic version of The ROLLING STONES classic song, 'Dead Flowers'. The footage can be viewed below.
Harkening back to a time when folks would gather around their radios on a Saturday night, Music Without Boundaries has become a weekly staple to a loyal and growing legion of listeners around the globe. The show's May 21st 2011 premier episode featured legendary STARZ singer, Michael Lee Smith and Alex Kane (LIFE SEX & DEATH/ANTI-PRODUCT). Smith, Kane & Young performed a rousing version of the Starz classic, 'Cherry Baby' along with an impromptu cover of CHEAP TRICK's 'Surrender'.
Each week, Music Without Boundaries features a different theme accentuated with comedy, news, interviews and live performances. Previous in studio guests also include, James LoMenzo (Ex-Megadeth, WHITE LION), Rowan Robertson (DC4, ex-DIO), Jimmy D’Anda (BULLETBOYS), and rising L.A. duo, LOWLIGHT. The show's mission is to eradicate musical segregation by breaking down the walls of radio's typical formatting approach. Music Without Boundaries' intent confirms that "good music is good music and talent is talent - regardless of genre or era." In a single broadcast, the playlist ranges from the heaviest of metal to classical, hip-hop, world music and everything in between. But it's how Young brings all these elements together into a cohesive audio journey that makes Music Without Boundaries different from any radio show on air today.
MUSIC WITHOUT BOUNDARIES can be heard live every Saturday night at 11:11pm EST through Jeff Young’s Facebook page Facebook page. Past episodes and each live episode is podcast on www.spreaker.com.
