CHICKENFOOT frontman SAMMY HAGAR (ex-VAN HALEN) has posted the following update:

"Less than a week left until Chickenfoot III is released! I'm so excited to share this album with you in its entirety. Is it just me or is this taking forever! I've been getting lots of great feedback about the song-by-song podcasts and The Making Of Chickenfoot III series we've been sending out and already have had people come up to me on the street and tell me how much they are enjoying them. Even my pal from the Dead, Mickey Hart, has a favorite song already! We have such a cool creative dynamic in the band and I'm glad that each song's story is able to be told.

And speaking of videos, thanks to all of you Redheads that sent in videos for the Columbus, OH contest. While I enjoyed seeing all of them there were two that caught really caught my attention and it was great being able to offer them Meet and Greet passes. Check out those videos (below) when you get a chance. What a huge Redhead turnout! I always feel the love with you guys.

Chickenfoot are offering fans a very special free Live Concert Webcast: Chickenfoot Presents III on release day, September 27th. At 6 PM (PST) the band will perform tracks from the new album at TRI Studios in Marin County, California and host a 30-minute Q&A; session with the fans at Chickenfoot.us.

“These are exciting times,” said Hagar. “When a band can have the technology to allow them to perform in a state-of-the-art setting and take that performance out around the world is amazing! I’m up for that!”

Fans can submit their questions to be included in the live Q&A; session at Chickenfoot.us leading up to the live webcast. Special promotional opportunities to be a member of the live in-studio audience in the studio will be announced on the band’s social sites. The webcast will rebroadcast on the band’s website on September 28th at 12 noon.
