NERVECELL Members Comment On Opening Up For METALLICA In Abu Dhabi - "They Inspired Each One Of UsTo Actually Start Playing Metal Music"

Dubai-based metallers NERVECELL recently confirmed the chance-of-a-lifetime news that they will be opening for METALLICA at their exclusive show taking place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on October 25th. Guitarists Rami H. Mustafa and Barney Ribeiro spoke with Metality UAE about the gig. A few excerpts follow:
Metality UAE: Nervecell is confirmed to open for the biggest thrash metal band on the planet, how do you guys feel?
Rami: "Very honored! Metallica is one of the first metal bands I started listening to as a kid. They inspired me and each one of us in Nervecell and to actually start playing metal music. I feel this is such a huge opportunity for us to share the stage with the mighty Metallica. I think this is the best reward for us after all the hard work we’ve put together as a band throughout our career."
Metality UAE: Can you tell me what you are most excited/nervous about?
Barney: "I’m stoked beyond belief and cant wait both to meet them and share the stage with them on October 25th 2011 atYasIsland. I guess the nerves will start to act up only moments before we hit the stage when we are backstage looking upon the thousands who will be attending this historical event."
Rami: "I’m not nervous rather super excited to actually put out a heavy as hell show for the Abu Dhabi crowd, which we haven’t play for in years! Of course I’m also really looking forward to watch Metallica perform live for the first time ever and meet the band!"
