DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT - Venue Change Announced For Upcoming Ki Show In London, More Tickets Available
October 3, 2011, 13 years ago
The heavily anticipated DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT November 10th show in London, where Devin & Co. are set to play the entire Ki album front to back, has now been moved from Union Chapel to University of London Union´s venue. The reason for change is that besides being a gorgeous venue, Union Chapel is also a working church and therefore has strict limits to the decibel levels allowed. After much consideration it´s been agreed upon that this restriction will harm the quality of the show and that is not in line with Devin´s never ending search for perfection. Also beneficial to this is the higher capacity of ULU and therefore the previously sold out show now has new tickets up on sale.
The last album show performing the beautifully soothing and much more tranquil Ghost album will still be held at Union Chapel as originally planned.
Townsend: "Each show will feature its own special guest musicians; we´ve got the lovely Anneke van Giersbergen performing on the Addicted, the ever so classy Miss Kat Epple on flute for Ghost, and the mighty Dirk Verbeuren on drums for the Ki and Decon shows among others. And of course we´ll be sure to film each show in HD for a DVD & Blu Ray release some time in 2012.
We recently announced that awesome Norwegian jazz metal band SHINING will be the support band for the Deconstruction show, and now we´re proud to inform you that groundbreaking neo-classical artist HAZLITT will open for the Ghost performance, and that Manchester rockers AMPLIFIER will open on the Addicted show. Opening band for Ki is yet to be announced."
