Greece's Rockpages.gr recently conducted an interview with GIRLSCHOOL’s Kim McAuliffe. In the interview McAuliffe talks about the band's 30th anniversary re-recording of their 1981 release Hit And Run and more. An excerpt can be seen below:

Rockpages.gr: It’s been 30 years since the original album was out and the material still sounds very strong. What would you say that it’s about the music from the ‘80s that made it stand the test of time?

Kim McAuliffe: “We were quite worried actually, because we hadn’t listened to the original for a while, and I was surprised how it stood the test of time and how good it was, but obviously working with Tim to do the new version we thought we were going to get a new more powerful sound and a different kind of sound, I suppose it is… I’d like to say that they are good songs! …and a great spirit at that time…”

The news that Girlschool are about to present a re-recorded version of 'Hit And Run', complemented by two awesome bonus tracks, will delight media and fans from all age groups alike."
