SCYTHIA To Headline Nerd Fest In Vancouver

Nerd Fest, a night of medieval fantasy returns to Vancouver on November 19th at the Rickshaw Theatre with local folk metal clans SCYTHIA, EYE OF ODIN and CELESTIAL RUIN.
Scythia will be headlining the fest as they have just released their second studio album, ...Of Exile, which topped the Canadian college loud charts at #1.
Fantasy metal won't be the only entertainment at Nerd Fest; the festival also incorporates everything from sword fighting, tattoo artistry, burlesque dancing (Tiffany Truth), fantasy multimedia (films), a costume contest and a multitude of vendors whom will be present to showcase their unique local-made crafts for medieval enthusiasts.
Dave Khan vocalist/guitarist of Scythia and one of the event organizers of Nerd Fest commented on what fantasy fans can expect. "Nerd Fest is a night dedicated to celebrating our love for all things fantasy. And we will celebrate by making it sexy with burlesque and cool with some really prominent local fantasy bands. We are really stoked to be putting on a multimedia variety night with a theme. It's been a blast organizing it because it's been really easy to garner support. The idea seems like something that really resonates with the sponsors and performers that we are recruiting."
