Guitarist BILLY MORRISON Checks In From BILLY IDOL West Coast Tour, Live Footage Available - "Venues Are Full, Crowds Are Noisy, And The Band Is On Fire"

Guitarist BILLY MORRISON (BILLY IDOL, CAMP FREDDY) has checked in with the following update:
"Just a quick check in here on the site to tell you that the current West Coast Billy Idol tour is kicking some major ass. Venues are full, crowds are noisy and the band is on fire. The new material that we wrote earlier this year is going down a storm and the whole thing is firing on all cylinders. What a pleasure it is to work with people like Billy, Steve, Jeremy, McG and Derek. Proper musicians and artists who work hard to make the band as tight and as solid as possible. And our crew is amazing. Everything has been perfect every night. Although this run is a short one, it’s fired everyone up and no doubt 2012 will see some action as well.
Billy, Steve (Stevens/guitars) and myself will be back writing after this run is over and we’ll keep amassing material. Lets hope that it translates into a new Idol record at some point soon. I know we’d all like that to be the case. For now, I’m enjoying every minute and I’ve finally busted my signature Gibson’s cherry good and proper. The guitars have been solid every gig – they sound monstrous and have stayed in tune and played like a dream. I’m very proud of that axe.
A couple of shows left and then my focus turns to the studio, to the upcoming Camp Freddy Xmas Roxy shows and also a few days down in Cabo in Mexico (a little R+R along with a show down there) – there’s also some film and TV stuff I’ll be getting involved with, so it seems the rest of 2011 is pretty much taken care of….. roll on 2012 and may it be filled with more of the same. Oh, and I gotta give Patrick Cornell some props for seriously stepping up and helping me sort out a few things with this site. Now the photo gallery finally works, so expect me to fill it up with some choice shots real soon. Just after I crawl back into bed and get some more sleep on this day off!! Idol's tour wraps up in at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, CA tonight (October 21st).
