Florida-based symphonic metalheads KAMELOT have checked in, with bassist Sean Tibbetts issuing the following update:

"Hi Kamelotians!

The band is busy working on new songs and continuing to review audition videos for the singer position. We are getting real close to making a choice, there are some amazingly talented singers out there. We are taking our time on this, the vocals for the new album will be done last, like always. So there is no rush to make the decision now."

Guitarist Thomas Youngblood adds: "The new songs are really coming along great, lots of variation, melody and energy."

Kamelot will return to Gate Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany in January, with Sascha Paeth producing once again.. The production is expected to take several months long and will include special guests, orchestra arrangements and much more.

As previously reported, Kamelot have set up a special Facebook poll, inviting fans to vote on which metal festivals the band should consider hitting in 2012. There are over 70 festivals to choose from. Go to this location to check out the list. You must have an active Facebook account to view the page.

Kamelot have also launched an official Google+ page, found at this location.
