The Jakarta Globe reports that ANTHRAX is postponing its show in Jakarta, Indonesia until March 31st, 2012.
On it’s official Twitter account, promoter Blade Indonesia has apologized to Anthrax fans, and has clarified that the concert is not cancelled, but only postponed until next year.
“The concert is not cancelled but is being rescheduled until March 31st,” Jimmy Reagan Fernandes, Blade Indonesia’s head of marketing, told Tempo.com. “The drummer, Charlie Benante, can’t play the gig because a member of his family is sick.”Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian also Tweeted “Not cancelled, postponed,” in response to a fan. According to Rolling Stone magazine Indonesia, Anthrax also postponed their Japanese concerts (scheduled December 12th to 14th). However, these are still listed on Anthrax.com.
The show was scheduled for December 10th at Pantai Carnaval in Ancol, North Jakarta — HELLYEAH, featuring former PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul, was slated to open the show.
Taking advantage of the extra time they have to prepare for the show, Blade Indonesia asked metal devotees: “Who should be added on the list of performers for March?”
Ticket holders have the option to either refund their tickets or keep them until March. Blade Indonesia is also taking questions via its hotline numbers: 085714691487 or 085711186020.
