It was reported by BW&BK; back in May that NINE INCH NAILS mastermind Trent Reznor, who won the 2010 Golden Globe for Best Original Score and the Academy Award with partner Atticus Ross for Best Original Score for their work on The Social Network soundtrack, was composing the music for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. According to an update from Ultimate-Guitar.com "spans a whopping three hours and 39 songs across three CDs."

Reznor commented on working with Ross for the project: "For the last fourteen months Atticus and I have been hard at work on David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers."

A clip of Reznor's cover of LED ZEPPELIN's 'Immigrant Song', with the YEAH YEAH YEAH’s Karen O for the movie, which was put online in May and then removed, is available below.

The film is based on the book by best-selling author Stieg Larsson. Reznor and Ross are once again working with director David Fincher (The Social Network). The film stars Daniel Craig, Christopher Plummer, and Robin Wright.
