ARCH ENEMY Guitarist Michael Amott And ZOOM Team Up Again For New Signature G2.1MA Pedal
December 4, 2011, 12 years ago
ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott has collaborated with ZOOM to create a new signature edition guitar pedal, with Amott leading the design of 50 dramatic and diverse guitar sound presets. They range from the heavy aggressive riff tones heard in 'Yesterday Is Dead And Gone' and 'My Apocalypse' to the clean sound with the perfect amounts of chorus and delay for the arpeggio in the instrumental 'Snow Bound', as well as beautiful, lyrical lead sounds that exemplify Amott’s melodic yet extreme approach to metal.
Amott comments: "I’ve been an avid fan of the Zoom gear for a long time. A couple of years ago I got the opportunity to develop and release my first signature pedal with ZOOM, the G1M. It was a great success and I’ve met so many fans and guitar players around the world that enjoyed the pedal as much as I did! With the new G2.MA pedal we’ve kicked things up a few notches – this is a new level of sonic insanity! As a practice and recording tool this all I need in one unit. The G2.MA is fan friendly and user friendly – this is a signature product I am very proud of."

Arch Enemy recently confirmed a long-awaited headline tour of Japan, scheduled for April 2012.
Michael Amott comments: "It’s not a very well guarded secret that Japan has been like a second home for Arch Enemy since we first started touring there in 1997. So it is with great joy and excitement that we are returning to celebrate the success of our Khaos Legions album and play some great shows for our Japanese fans!
"All these four Japan shows will be special and unique, but none more so than the Yokohama Blitz show on April 14th, where we’ll be performing our Wages Of Sin (2001) album in its entirety.”We haven’t done a full tour of Japan since 2008 (which we documented on the Tyrants Of The Rising Sun DVD and double live album). After our performance at Japan’s Loud Park 2011 event last month, we are more than eager to get back and have fun with some of the craziest Mmetal fans on the planet! See you in April!"
