Taiwanese/Canadian brutal death metal machine REVILEMENT is pleased to announce the release of its debut full-length album, Pillars Of Balance, today (December 10th). Recorded at CJ Studios by producer CJ Kao, keyboardist of Taiwan's biggest extreme metal export, CHTHONIC, and mastered at Sanctuary Studio by internationally renowned audio engineer J.S. Stoddard (FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, ROUGHHAUSEN), Pillars of Balance is an album that looks to put Taiwan on the death metal map. Featuring 11 tracks of pure death metal worship, this is an album steeped in the traditions of classic death metal bands such as SUFFICATION and IMMOLATION, but also with nods to the modern brutal death scene and bands in the vein of DEVOURMENT, DISGORGE (U.S.), and many more.

Founded in the fall of 2006, Revilement is a band that has quickly ascended the ranks of its local scene in Taipei. Shortly after forming, the band came out with its first four-track demo, Locusts, which garnered online praise from the likes of Heathen Harvest, which hailed Revilement as a band that could “...take over the brutal scene in the coming years.” A four-song EP, Human Vivisection, followed in 2009, and did not fail to live up to such high expectations. The EP drew the attention of leading brutal death label Coyote Records, which immediately signed Revilement to a North American/European distribution deal for its next release.

Since the release of Human Vivisection, and in the lead up to the release of Pillars Of Balance, Revilement has established itself as one of only a handful of select bands to break out of the Taiwanese metal scene and tour around East and Southeast Asia, racking up appearances at some of the top underground festivals in the region. Asia Metal Festival (South Korea), Singapore Death Fest, Tomahawk Metal Fest (Hong Kong), Formoz Fest (Taiwan), and Bangkok Death Fest all experienced the full force of Revilement, which also managed to fit in its first tour in Japan alongside legendary Japanese death metal troops, DEFILED. Over the course of the band's travels, Revilement has also managed to earn coveted opening slots for the likes of GRAVEWORM, MISERY INDEX, and the legendary NAPALM DEATH.

In 2012, Revilement will hit the Philippines for a string of dates, tour Southeast Asia and China, and has plans in the works to make a triumphant return to Japan and South Korea in support of Pillars Of Balance.
