CIRCLE II CIRCLE / ex-SAVATAGE frontman Zak Stevens is featured in a new interview with Mark Uricheck at The Musician's Voice. He covers a variety of subjects, including the proposed Wacken Open Air 2012 show featuring Savatage guitarist Chris Caffery performing the entire Savatage album, The Wake Of Magellan, with the band. As previously reported, JON OLIVA'S PAIN drummer Chris Kinder has shot down reports that Caffery will be joining Circle II Circle at next year's edition of Germany's Wacken Open Air, where they will perform the classic 1998 Savatage album, The Wake Of Magellan, it its entirety.
Kinder has posted the following message on the JOP message board:
"I spoke to Chris directly. Chris never agreed to do this show and and it most certainly had nothing to do with (TSO/Savatage masterminds) Jon (Oliva) or Paul (O’Neill). I know for a fact that Jon knew nothing about this.Chris confirmed that they had talked about it last year, but that was the end of it. He was just as surprised as the rest of us when the announcement
went public.
Jon could care less about what others are doing. They have their bands and we have ours. He has neither the time nor cares about what other people are doing...trust me on that!"
