Live Nation recently announced the return of Heavy T.O., on August 11th and 12th, 2012, to be held at Downsview Park in Toronto, ON. Heavy MTL has also announced that its fourth edition will be held on August 11th and 12th, 2012 at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal.

Heavy MTL organizers have issued the following update:

It’s official: you and your friends will be rocking into 2012! evenko and Dungeon Works has announced the battling bands for En route vers Heavy MTL 2012 Battle Of The Bands.

A total of 20 bands have been selected to take over Katakombes’ stage every second Wednesday of the month, starting January 11th. Their goal? To win one of two prized spots on the 2012 lineup of Heavy MTL, August 10th to 12th!

On top of playing on the same bill as some of the most highly regarded musicians in the world at Parc Jean-Drapeau, the contenders will perform for a prestigious panel of judges. A very special guest judge hailing from the international scene will be present at each event.
