VAN HALEN - Fan-Filmed Video From Cafe Wha? Show In New York Online
January 5, 2012, 12 years ago
Fan-filmed footage from VAN HALEN's highly anticipated (which is putting it mildly) January 5th show at the Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village, NY is available below. Stay tuned for more....
As previously reported, Van Halen News Desk has kindly shared the following photo displaying VAN HALEN's setlist for the invite-only club show. VHND commented: "Show was out of this world like a trip back to 1975!"
This evening's intimate gig marked the first public performance of Van Halen with original frontman David Lee Roth since the end of their 2007/2008 tour.
The 250-seat Cafe Wha? may have seemed like an unlikely place for Van Halen to launch their new tour, but the club has an important family connection to vocalist David Lee Roth. His uncle Manny Roth owned and operated the venue, providing a stage to then-up-and-coming acts such as Jimi Hendrix, Bill Cosby, Bob Dylan, Richard Pryor and many others.
Here are the known details regarding the new Van Halen album, A Different Kind Of Truth:
