Metal Shrine has issued a new interview with BIOHAZARD guitarist Bobby Hambel. An excerpt follows:

Q: You mentioned earlier that you're still writing and coming up with ideas. I guess it's not gonna take that long for the next album to come out? And being on Nuclear Blast, what kinda deal is that? One album or more?

A: "Well, I hope so! I think Nuclear Blast is awesome and they've been excellent to work with. It's something to be said for a label like Nuclear Blast to take notice and believing in a band like Biohazard, because what they did is kinda “in defiance” of their world and the industry. Biohazard has never been like a top forty fucking top rock fucking one hit wonder type thing where people look at us as dollar signs! People get it and believe in us out of respect for what we do, which is better for us because we get to work with people who's the real deal, you know what I mean? I wouldn't know how to act in the area of the music business where everything is bubble gum façade, one hit wonder, flavor or the week type of trend, because you can't trust anybody around you because they're only paying you because you're popular at the moment and that could disappear tomorrow and as soon as you're not making them any money, they fucking leave you in the dirt! What we do in heavy metal is more of like… the label understands the band. They're behind it and they understand what it's about and they believe in the band. For Nuclear Blast to believe in us and what we have to offer the world, was great and they stepped up and we give them a lot of respect for that!"

Biohazard recently revealed the cover art for Reborn In Defiance.

Danny Schuler says, "Being a huge fan of vinyl records and the amazing sleeve artwork that used to come with them, I really wanted our artwork to be unique. In the spirit of being Reborn In Defiance, the album cover represents to me an interesting paradox: an embryo, not yet spoiled by the world, but already possessing the heart of a rebel."

Billy Graziadei explains, "The innocence of youth has always been a strong subject for us, with the children playing over a crime scene on the Urban Discipline album cover to the child running with a biological gas mask on the State Of The World Address cover. For Reborn In Defiance, an unborn child waits to be thrown into a world that will steal the untainted purity of infancy we all start out with."

Danny sums up the cover art's significance quite simply: "It all begins in the womb".
