On December 15th at 9:24pm, ex-TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA violinist and solo artist Anna Phoebe gave birth to a baby girl, Amelia Rose. She's back in the studio with UK-progsters JUROJIN working on new tracks and has checked in with the following update:

"Happy New Year!

Here we are halfway through the first month of 2012. I hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday season and a good start to the year!

We had the best ending possible to 2011 - our baby daughter, Amelia Rose, was born on the 15th December after a peaceful and calm natural birth. She weighed a healthy 8lb 2oz at birth, and I'm finding motherhood an absolutely incredible experience! She is doing really well - every small thing she does seems like a miracle to me. She is also keeping me busy with endless nappies and constant feeding - I think the years of long tours with Trans Siberian Orchestra have been great training for the sleepless nights. :)

Even at only a month old, Amelia has already been a big inspiration for my music. During the last few months of pregnancy in 2011, I was in the studio with the musicians from British band Jurojin, writing and recording the first tracks of our new collaborative album. The music has gone in a totally new direction - nothing like anything I've ever heard (or played) before! The combination of different styles and musicianship on this album definitely feels like a natural progression from the Gypsy and Rise Of The Warrior albums.

We've now started working on the remaining tracks, and hope to have the album finished by late spring/early summer 2012. I'm really excited by the results, and will shortly have clips to play to you - I'll let you know when they're up on the site. I'm really looking forward to your feedback.

Wishing you and your families the best for 2012!"
