GOROD Signs With Listenable Records; New Album Coming In March
January 18, 2012, 12 years ago
French progressive technical death metal act GOROD has officially joined the Listenable Records roster. In fall 2011 the band entered the studio with talented French metal producer Frederic "Elmobo" Motte. Their fourth full-length, A Perfect Absolution, will be released in March.
The lyrical concept of this album is based on the history of Kievan Rus during the 10th century. In the year 945, Igor, King of Kiev, was killed while collecting a “tribute” when he visited a neighbor pagan tribe (the Derevlians) who lives in the forest. He left a widow : Olga who avenged him in an extremely harsh manner before converting to Orthodox Christianity.
Further details to follow.
Gorod will be joining OBSCURA on their Omnivium Europe 2012. The band will be supporting Obscura along with, SPAWN OF POSSESSION and EXIVIOUS.
