In the book Tracy talks about everything from how he got the gig and how he eventually left the band and what he has been up to since. He also talks very fondly of Ronnie James Dio and mentions how he was a very cool person as noted form this passage from the book:
"Behind the scenes and away from the reporters, camera's and industry people Ronnie was very relaxed and calm", Tracy says. "Very comfortable to be around him and he was very much a regular guy at those times.""Ronnie was always doing cool things like letting Tracy watch his video library of film from the RAINBOW and Sabbath days all the way to inviting G's parents to the house for a tour and just a get to know them time as Ronnie was well aware of the support that Tracy's parents gave him in his life to be a musician and succeed at what he loved.
Ronnie took the Grijalva's through the entire spotless house which he kept cleaned all on his own. He told them he once had a house keeper but had to let her go because he kept the house cleaner than she did. Then they hit the room that Tracy was occupying and he told him that he was not in any way responsible for that room as it was Tracy's mess. This was the Dio that people who met him came to know which is much different than the dragon fighting wizard that the public in general had seen for many years."
Tracy G recently announced that current HYDROGYN vocalist Julie Westlake has signed on to do a series of recordings with his THE TRACY G GROUP, for a release that will coincide with his book coming out in the spring. The release will be a collection of songs that he had written along with RONNIE JAMES DIO for his two studio releases - Strange Highways and Angry Machines - along with a collection of material from his post-Dio material.
They have already entered the G Factory Studios and started on the project with a series of tunes close to completion. The band for the recording is Tracy's band that played on the 2011 Controlled Chaos, that has Johnny B on Drums and vocals and Eddie Frisco on Bass. There are also talks of live shows in the works for this to take place in the Los Angeles area this spring or summer. More details will be revealed soon.
