MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx has posted the following update:

"Mötley Crüe and the Crüeheads have pretty much taken over Vegas the last few weeks... It really feels like we're riding the positive chaos right now. We just did a huge new photo shoot, were finishing up a brand new Crüe song for summer (that will lead to an full album after), European headline shows on festivals and in arenas too, but none of this would happen without you guys. Thank you."

Another message from Sixx in regards to his SIXX: A.M. project reads: "James Michael is doing a press conference tomorrow. Dj (Ashba) is out with GUNS N' ROSES and I'm in Vegas with Mötley... Wonder what its gonna be about. :) Any ideas?"

Stay tuned for updates.

In the video footage below, drummer Tommy Lee takes singer Vince Neil on a roller coaster ride for his 51st birthday, during the band's show on February 8th at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas:

The band also presented Vince with a 3-foot-tall, guitar-shaped birthday cake. Video footage below:

Mötley Crüe kicked off Las Vegas’ first hard rock residency on February 3rd at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. FoxNews.com's program Fox 411 has posted a new video report on the carnage, which can be viewed below:

February 3rd - also declared Mötley Crüe Day by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman - saw The Joint transform into a rock n’ roll carnival extravaganza bringing in elements of Mötley Crüe's arena show, including Tommy Lee's 360 drum coaster and the biggest lighting and sound production ever brought into The Joint, including their over the top signature pyrotechnics which fittingly incorporated a Vegas feel. The shows are produced and promoted by AEG Live.

From costuming - which included Vince Neil's illuminated poker-hand belt buckle and rogue carnival styled seat ushers - to showgirl dancers, female aerialists, little people, macabre clowns and stilt walkers, each element dazzled the eye throughout. In addition to Mötley's high-octane numbers, which included ‘Kickstart My Heart’, ‘Shout At the Devil’, ‘Saints Of Los Angeles’, ‘Same Old Situation’ and ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’, the band also dedicated a portion of the show to an acoustic performance. High above the audience on a floating circular platform, they performed stunning renditions of ‘Without You’, ‘On With The Show’, and ‘Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)’. Other songs in the set included rare live gems ‘Piece Of Your Action’ and ‘Afraid’, which haven't been performed live in over 10 years.

Remaining dates for the band’s residency are: February 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th and 19th. Tickets starting at $45 (plus applicable service fees), can be found on sale at The Joint box office and Ticketmaster.
