February 21, 2012, 12 years ago
According to USA Today, Robert F. Hendrix, first cousin to guitar legend JIMI HENDRIX, has died.
Experience Hendrix, the Seattle-based company entrusted to manage the Jimi Hendrix's music legacy, has just announced the "sudden passing" of Bob, the company's senior vice president and chief operating officer, shown here in earlier days with Jimi. Bob was 65. Jimi died in 1970 at age 27.
Bob helped Jimi's father, James "Al" Hendrix, and his daughter, Janie L. Hendrix, in 1995 to help form Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. and Authentic Hendrix, LLC, the two companies overseeing all things Hendrix. Since that time, Bob has been actively involved in day-to-day business operations.
