Having parted ways with longtime frontman Peter Dolving, Swedish metallers THE HAUNTED have launched a search to find a new vocalist.

Says the band: "Serious applicants please send your submissions, including two songs from The Haunted back catalogue and a few words to describe yourself. Images and links to performance video clips are much appreciated and will be most valuable in the screening process.

Send your application to the e-mail address above. Thanks!"

Announcing the departure of Dolving earlier this week, The Haunted released the following brief message: "Peter has decided to leave The Haunted permanently. We don't have any more news or info for you regarding this at the moment, but stay tuned for future updates... We just wanted to put an end to all the rumors out there."

Meanwhile, Dolving posted the following message via his Facebook page: "I am officially quitting The Haunted. After years of working with the band, I am out. I have had it. I will NOT answer questions to why. It's no one else's business. Thank you very much. I am looking forward to seeing you people at other shows with other projects."

The Haunted's newest album, Unseen, hit the charts at #5 in Sweden, as well as #26 in Finland, upon release. The Haunted launched a string of dates in Japan with IHSAHN and LEPROUS, back in December, 2011. Footage of The Haunted's full set can be seen below:

Back in the summer of 2004, The Haunted put together a promotional video for their song '99', which until now, never saw the light of day. Filmed by Kim Lantto, Jonas Olsen and Sirnir Einarsson at Stengade in Copenhagen and Sweden Rock Festival, the clip can be seen below:

'99' originally appeared on the album rEVOLVEr, and then again as a live track on Roadkill.
