WHITE ARMS OF ATHENA Return To The Road

Texas-based technical progressive metal band WHITE ARMS OF ATHENA - whose 2011 debut Astrodrama was recently released on vinyl - will kick off the third tour of the album cycle tonight (March 13th) with a free show in Joplin, MO. This time around, they're touring alongside A NIGHT AT THE CHALET and LABYRINTHE on a trek dubbed The Spring Mutila-Tour, which will take the group to the eastern United States for the first time. Says the band, "We are extremely grateful to be out on the road once again, especially in a region so new to us. We hear great things from other bands about the East Coast and are glad our first time will be with such a diverse lineup. For the first time on tour, we will have vinyl copies of Astrodrama available, along with other new merch items. So come out, have a good time and if you're willing, let us sleep on your floor."
Produced by Jamie King, Astrodrama ranges from cluttered grind riffs paying tasteful respects to BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, to solid heavy riffs to bang your head to, to peacefully structured ambient passages that soothe you just in time for another full-on attack of the senses. Their lyricism and overall vibe from the instruments give their tunes a certain futuristic, other-worldly touch that only heavy-hitters in progressive metal such as CYNIC can pull off.
