Italian progressive gothic metallers NEVERDREAM will release a new album, entitled The Circle, in fall 2012. The release will be a concept work based on a dramatic story dealing with family violence, religious fanatism and a tragic hero.

According to an update from the band, VANDEN PLAS frontman Andy Kuntz has been recruited as a guest on the album. He will play one of the characters in the story.

The band has also revealed that the album will be available as a free download. More details will be available soon. Watch their official website for updates.

The Circle will take its listeners to the town Corpus Christi in Texas, back into the earlie 80s. A family father, strictly religious, but violent and bigotte at the same time, abuses his son sexually and puts pressure on him not to tell anyone about it. He tells his son about a security belt that he has built around the town with the help of God and that will protect all the good and believing people from the evil. The evil in his eyes are all betrayers, liers as well as women and all female.

One day the mother forces herself to report the father's child abuse at the police, so the father goes to prison. But the son and main character in story hates his mother for doing so – blinded by the ideologies of his father he moves away from this Godless place. And meets a girl at his new home town, that he falls in love with. As he does not reply to his love, he kills her full of anger and sews the eyes of the dead body...

From then on numerous murders happen, the victims all are young women – and always the dead bodies are found with sewed eyes. The special department of the police calls the murderer “tailor” and starts searching for him. All facts are pointing at a serial murderer, but detective Thomas Curtis has to watch many of them until he finally gets a trace.

A trace that will first become clear after many years, in which cruel headlines are filling the newspapers again and again. “cruely murdered women with sewed eyes discovered” a newspaper tells in 1979 for the first time. A news that will gain more brutality over the next six years and that will make the whole area breathless. The murders are happening exactly as often as everyone can still remember the last time but not often enough so that the police men around detective Curtis will be able to get a clear trace.

Updates to follow.
