On March 30th, Canadian rocker BIF NAKED checked in with the following update:

"Life is so beautiful. I am so happy to be writing this lovenote to you all. We have all relied on each other so much, and it is with sincerity that I share with you my feelings and my recent news.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been in the hospital since March 20th. Yes. In Vancouver, under the best care of the amazing staff and super-power caregivers at VGH. It is with massive gratitude that I share this, and sing their praises.

I did come to be hospitalized through an emergency situation, which is why I so abruptly 'disappeared' from our regular Twitter correspondences. I had a renal infarction (which meant part of my kidney, basically, choked) and they were trying to figure out why. I can assure everyone, with delight, there is no tumor there. <---*happy dancin*

As many of you know, I have a hole in my heart (oh, the metaphors...) and the doctors have decided to eliminate this as a potential problem for my future. So, they are closing the hole in my heart. (oh, the metaphors...LOL!). I intend to be up-and-at-em within days, and back to my beloved home

chowing-down bananas and listening to Death Metal and watching yoga DVDs, generally having the blissed-out life I am so lucky to have.

As you can guess, my beloved Mommyji was flown to my side last week and has been with me every step of the way. Nicklas has been having a sleepover/Spring Break (that's what we've told him. LOL!) with a friend, but we hope to be all home, together, by the time the magnolia tree near our lane is in bloom.

I am sending you all so much energy and sweet feeling, and trust life is abundant with love and safety and goodness for you all.

With devotion, affection, and so much gratitude. Bless."

Love, Biffy

On April 6th, Bif posted a new update stating she had been released from hospital:

"I am out of the hospital, walking every day and trying to be patient with myself. It is a bit of a frustrating process with many setbacks and side-steps, trips back to emergency, and lots of big, deep breaths. I am ever-optimistic and always anticipating complete success and total health. It has been very interesting, indeed (you know what a science-geek I am) and I am so grateful to have this experience in my life. I find lots of laughs hidden in each day, and I can't wait to see everyone soon."
