CANNIBAL CORPSE drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz has been announced as the special guest judge for Round 5 of Heavy MTL's Battle Of The Bands, where the cities heaviest and loudest bands take to the stage for a chance to win one of two prized spots on the Heavy MTL 2012 lineup at Parc Jean-Drapeau from August 11th to 12th.

Round 5 will take place at Les Katacombes (1635 St. Laurent) on Wednesday, May 16th with the following competing bands: BOOKAEE, CROSSTITUITION, FIRST FRAGMENT, THROUGH DEATH.

Heavy MTL will return to Montreal, QC at Parc Jean-Drapeau on August 11th and 12th and organizers have announced the addition of eight new bands to their 2012 lineup including: DEFTONES, DETHKLOK, VOIVOID, SWORD, TRIVIUM, EMMURE, DIEMONDS and DANCE LAURY DANCE.

As of now, weekend passes for Saturday, August 11th and Sunday, August 12th at Parc Jean-Drapeau as well as single day tickets are on sale via HeavyMTL.com, by phone at (514) 790-2525 or 1-877-668-8269 in person at the Bell Centre box office.
