As CHEAP TRICK gear up for the upcoming AEROSMITH tour, guitarist Rick Nielsen tells WIFR.com "we've done more shows than any other band ever."
"Aerosmith asked us," he says about the summer jaunt which commences in June. "It's not like we begged to go on tour with them. We never set out for any kind of record. When I was in Junior High School I wanted to be in a band. Obviously I haven't' progressed mentally very much because I still want to be in a band."When asked about Cheap Trick not being in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Nielsen responds: "There's a guitar at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame that I gave to JOHN LENNON. He thought it was cool enough to get a guitar from me. If we get in great, If we don't we don't. Playing all those shows and staying relevant for so long. That's the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. It's not some plaque."
