SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser is featured in a new interview with That Devil Music. An excerpt follows:

Q: Sepultura are the heaviest band I’m aware of to go Gold in North America, how were you able to cope with the success at that time? You guys had started in complete poverty in my understanding and then ended up touring with PANTERA!

A: "No, we didn’t start in complete poverty, not at all. My family wasn’t rich, but I had a great life growing up in Brazil. Of course it was hard to get albums and equipment to play heavy metal but it was a great school to learn to play with every kind of instrument and amps. Sepultura, since day one, even before I joined the band in 1987, was a hard working band. Practicing everyday with a lot of faith in their music. When I joined the band we did Schizophrenia and we got the contract with Roadrunner for a worldwide release of the next album, Beneath The Remains. Regardless of our financial situation we were a band that simply worked our asses off."

Kisser is also featured in an interview with Groovey at Colorado Music Buzz & Entertainment, conducted in Denver, CO on April 15th. Check it out below:

As previously reported, Sepultura has been confirmed for this year's Wacken Open Air and they will be joined by some guests, LES TAMBOURS DU BRONX, featuring sixteen drummers from France. According to organizers, "this combination from heavy metal sounds and this incomparable percussion ensemble can only be seen two times in the whole world in this year."

Founded in 1987, Les Tambours Du Bronx beat 225 litre barrels with beech wood bats or even axe handles. In more than 1000 concerts they've smashed about 16,000 barrels and more than 110,000 broken 'drum sticks'!
