THE AGONIST out of Montreal, Quebec recently launched a contest inviting fans to submit their best 'Ideomotor' lyric interpretation video ("the funnier the better"). The contest is now closed and the band has issued the following update:

"We want to give a big congratulations to Matthew Wolfman for his awesome lyric interpretation video of our new song 'Ideomotor':

He just won a dropcard for the new album, an autographed poster and a t-shirt as well as a thank you card from the band. To see what the REAL lyrics are, check out our brand new lyric video below. Thanks to everyone who participated. They were really fun to watch!"

The Agonist recently announced a headline show for Quebec City, Quebec at L'Agitee, due to take place on June 8th. More details will be revealed soon.

The Agonist's new album, Prisoners, will be unleashed on June 4th in Europe and June 5th in North America via Century Media Records. For fans that can't wait for the release, an album sampler video that features clips of all of the tracks can now be found below:

In regards to the artwork for Prisoners, front-woman Alissa White-Gluz comments: “We wanted to really include a chaotic visual to reflect the chaotic sound of the band, but we also wanted to show that the lyrics on this album are a lot more introverted... The human face was left non-descript on purpose - it doesn't belong to any particular person, but we could call him the Lonely Solipsist.”
