FINAL DEPRAVITY Announce Jerome Reil As New Drummer
June 13, 2012, 12 years ago
German thrashers FINAL DEPRAVITY have announced Jerome Reil as their new drummer. Replacing Tristan Maiwurm, who left the band in January in order to concentrate on studying drums in the Netherlands, Jerome Reil has worked with the band since February. His last name might sound familiar - he’s the son of KREATOR drummer Jürgen “Ventor” Reil.
Commented vocalist and guitarist Dennis Baron: “Today’s announcement marks a big step forward for Final Depravity! Tristan’s exit in the middle of preparing a new album, though we all understood and supported his decision, could have turned out really bad. This made it even more important that our one and only candidate, Jerome Reil, really got stuck into the nitty-gritty from the word go, and the past couple of months with him have been a whole lot of productive fun. Apart from being a great guy anyway, Jerome’s drumming style is exactly what the band wants and his overall input even exceeds our expectations. We can’t wait to record the album with him and to wreck stages together soon!”
Jerome Reil states: “Being and playing with these guys felt damn right from the very first rehearsal, and I almost instantly knew that this is what I wanna do from now on. I very much appreciate the warm welcome I have received by the band and its team, and I’m all excited to open up a brand new chapter of Ruhr Area thrash metal with these folks!”

Final Depravity will enter the studio in July to record the follow-up to the 2010 album Nightmare 13, and present the new lineup live on stage for the first time at a show in Oberhausen, Germany on July 14th.
Due to the bankruptcy of Twilight Distribution the album Nightmare 13 is currently not available, but can be streamed in its entirety on Facebook at this location.
