TROLLFEST’s upcoming album, Brumlebassen, will be released on August 24 via NoiseArt Records. Check out a preview of the amazing CD artwork sleeve of created by the band and designer Terje Johnsen below:
Here is the band's explanation to the Bee-ology, which is the main theme of the album sleeve: "Seeing as one of Brumlebassen's deepest passions is to educate the world about bees and bugs, we in TrollfesT felt obliged to help him in his quest by including a booklet in our new album. Working together with a Swede and a Norwegian in order to guarantee Cultural Diversity the only thing missing to make it truly educational and ready for use in schools, was a heavyweight academic professor. Thankfully our dear friend Dr. B. Bassen weighs in at about 650 kilos and is a universally respected Doctor of Biology. He has a first degree burn and held the chair as Professor of Bees at the world renowned Bees'n'Bullshit University. Needless to say, his contribution has made this book(let) an easy to understand, all around informative and very very readable delight that will help anyone wishing to learn (or not learn) about Bees. Illustrated in sumptuous full spectrum Technicolor it contains an abundance of never before seen pictures of species previously unknown to science, making it a veritable feast for the eyes. There is also an English language guide for those who don't give a flying fuck about fictional languages. From the kids in primary school to the old fart in the shed, everyone will learn something new, rediscover something old and generally experience a strong sense of liquid well-being.“
The album, which will also be available in gatefold vinyl format, will once again feature storylines and characters from the universe created by TrollfesT which is inhabited by an assortment of crazy, fun-loving and mead-fuelled trolls, and which is once again brought vividly to life in the artwork of Swedish cartoonist Jonas Darnell who originally created the iconic metal duck from TrollfesT's Villanden album, and designer Terje Johnsen.
