MY RUIN vocalist Tairrie B. Murphy recently spoke with The Music Press, revealing that she and her guitarist/multi-instrumentalist husband Mick Murphy are heading back to the studio this August to record their eighth full length album:

"We've been busy with pre production in our LA studio for the past two months. We're keeping the title a secret for the moment but we've got 10 extremely heavy, dark and doom-laden tracks including a cover of a 1958 blues song that will surely surprise a few people to hear us put our spin on! Mick wrote all the music for the new album and will be co-producing once again with long time friend, Joel Stooksbury at his Soundtrack Black Studio in Knoxville,Tennessee. Mick will also be handling the drums as well as guitar duties this time however, Luciano Ferrea will be recording the bass tracks with us. Luciano has been a part of our family for the past two years and we felt it would be nice to have him be a part of the recordings this time around. We're all looking forward to sharing the experience together."
